Julie Morgan Focuses on Attracting Top Talent to Sustain Growth

As part of the executive team at CMA, Morgan leads the company’s talent acquisition, salary and benefits administration, training and development, performance management, employee relations and compliance monitoring.

“With her years of human resource experience, Julie will be a tremendous asset to CMA as we continue to grow and develop our talent,” said Jeffrey Barnhart, CEO and president of CMA. “In the short time she has been with us, she has recommended great ideas and changes, including increasing vacation time, enhancing benefits and compensation, developing employee education programs and establishing monthly recognition events.”

Prior to CMA, Julie worked as a consultant for Hesstech LLC in Cranbury, New Jersey. She provided human resources and office management support. As a strategic planner, she developed client outreach, recruited employees, scheduled and coordinated daily operations.

Morgan spent the bulk of her career at North American Electric Reliability Corporation in Princeton, were she became the director of human resources after beginning with the company in an administrative role. As human resources manager, Morgan created and established the company’s first human resources department from the ground floor.

Morgan has earned her American Management Association Human Resources certification and the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification. These achievements led her to assisting in the evolution of a 20-person organization into a business with more than 100 employees within three years of unprecedented growth.

“CMA is looking to continue on its current growth path and expand our staff,” said Barnhart. “Julie is very experienced in helping companies to achieve this goal and we are going to leverage that talent. Morgan is also a certified scuba diver, quilter, sailor, golfer and cyclist. She has one son.
