  • Using industry leaders as keynotes instead of paying a professional speaker, or posting conference proceedings online for attendees to download, rather than having them printed can help you scale back and can be billed as “going green” too.
  • Scaling back a reception from two hours to one hour and offer drink tickets to limit alcohol consumption. Serving tray-passed hors d’oeuvres at a reception rather than serving them on buffets typically reduces consumption considerably, yet doesn’t compromise on class.
